The GOODNESS of GOD: Multifaceted
Have you ever lost sight on something that was good to you or just took it for granted? Maybe you knew it was there, but it was of no interest to you! Unbeknownst to you is that this very thing has kept you from dangers seen and unseen, allowed for repentance to be instituted, and even leads you to a more faithful life.
All through scripture, the goodness of GOD is spoken of, more so than His chastisement on us as His children. GOD, JEHOVAH GOD, IS A GOOD GOD! His mercy endures forever! No matter what you are seeing in the world, He is still good. When you look back on your life and the things that you used to take part in and see that even though the ones that were with you have passed on, in jail, or are not doing well at all, you are still here. When you go into a corner market and you see the parents dealing with a child that has special needs or is autistic, but your child is what the world claims to be perfect in health. After you have learned the knowledge of the Word of GOD and what you done should have brought immediate death or destruction to you, you are kind of taken aback.
Yes! Yes indeed, the LORD IS GOOD!
It is through this vein or measure that we have been allowed to turn around and repent (go back to the top), and be in the right standard of fellowship with the LORD! Because of His mercy we are not consumed by the wrath of the LORD! It is safe to say that the LORD GOD is so merciful that while we were yet sinners, He sent CHRIST to die for us (Romans 5:8). His salvation is the greatest gift to mankind, and He even offered His Son, for the whole world (John 3:16). How can we neglect such a great salvation and expect for the LORD to be pleased with us (Hebrews 2:3)?
I think it would be a fair reflection to say that the LORD GOD has not repaid us for all that we have done in this flesh, and how we used to offer or give our members as the very tools of unrighteous, and yet we still remain today. The goodness of GOD!
Take the time today and reflect on how good the LORD GOD has been to you and your family, friends, and associates.
If the LORD has been good to you, tell someone of His goodness, that may have lost hope in life. They may be thinking the thoughts of the “evil one” that it is over for them in life, and that the LORD GOD will never forgive them and accept them.
Share with them about GOD’s goodness to you in your life, and how He has redeemed you through the blood of the Lamb of GOD, JESUS CHRIST, by grace and faith, and that the LORD is slow to anger, and wrath, longsuffering and ready to forgive.
The Holy Bible says in Romans 2:4 says that, Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering: not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
